Bringing new employers to Solano County
Employer commitment
California has always stood for technological and cultural innovation. Companies founded and based here have created many of the products and services we all use every day. These companies have also created well-paid jobs that have made the California Dream possible for millions of families. We are proud to be part of California’s vibrant and innovative economy, where we collectively employ thousands of people.
We want to continue growing and to hire more people in California. However, in the last decade, the escalating cost of housing has made it challenging for us to provide a high quality of life for our employees and to grow our companies here.
The California Forever project is an audacious idea, but California has always been a place that found bold and exciting solutions to even our most difficult problems.
We believe in this vision for a sustainable city with lots of room for both manufacturing and office work, combined with walkable neighborhoods, opportunities for home ownership, safe streets for children, and access to parks and recreation.
If the new city is approved as proposed, that would give us the confidence that there’s plenty of room for our business to flourish over the next few decades, both in terms of office and industrial space, and in terms of homes for our employees.
As we enter the new post-pandemic era of work, we are all making decisions about where and how to grow our companies. If this project is approved and gets under construction soon, we would be interested in bringing jobs to the new city and finding other opportunities to work together to expand the California Dream.

Hadrian
Advanced Manufacturing (Aerospace and Defense)
Hadrian is an advanced manufacturing company focused on aerospace and defense. It places an emphasis on efficiency to minimize supply chain issues, empowering the American space and defense industries to create products faster and cheaper.
Zipline
Drone Delivery (Logistics and Medical Delivery)
Zipline manufactures modern delivery drones and operates logistics centers for its delivery operations. It was founded to be focused on the medical industry, but has since expanded to use its drones for food, retail, agriculture and animal health products.
Living Carbon
Environmental Technology (Ecosystem Restoration)
Living Carbon is a company focused on restoring ecosystems from the ground up. The company operates greenhouses that grow plants faster and with larger biomass, enabling the plants to absorb carbon from the atmosphere. Living Carbon has expressed interest in starting a new nursery in Solano County capable of growing more than 10 million seedlings.
Plenty
Agriculture Technology (Indoor Vertical Farming)
Plenty is an agriculture company focused on indoor, vertical growing. This method of farming enables Plenty to grow more crops, with less water on smaller amounts of land. The company sells its produce online and in major grocery retailers like Whole Foods and Bristol Farms.
Serve Robotics
Robotics (Autonomous Delivery)
Serve Robotics manufactures autonomous robots that deliver orders including food and groceries. Currently, Serve operates in a handful of neighborhoods across California. As these delivery robots become more commonplace, Serve will only continue to expand its operations.
Meter
Internet Infrastructure (Business Solutions)
Meter is an internet infrastructure provider for businesses. The company has a full-stack approach that combines hardware, software and operations so that companies can seamlessly run on a reliable and modern internet network.
Motive
Fleet Management (Truck-Fleet Management)
Motive manufactures truck-fleet management products and operates fleet-management services. Through its integrated product suite, Motive helps scale and manage trucking and shipping operations for the largest trucking fleets in the country.
BREX
Financial Services (Business Financial Solutions)
BREX is a financial services company focused on helping businesses and their employees operate financially. BREX offers a menu of financial options that enable small and large businesses to more effectively manage their finances.
Cover
Construction Technology (Prefabricated Homes)
Cover is a company focused on manufacturing small, modern homes that can be used as ADUs or standalone homes. Cover uses the most advanced construction technologies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency, using an automotive-like production line to fully engineer and assemble their homes.
Build Casa
Real Estate Development (Lot Subdivision)
Build Casa is a company focused on utilizing California’s SB9, a law that enables homeowners to subdivide their lot into multiple homes. BuildCasa works with homeowners to evaluate their lots and manage the entire subdivision process.
Freethink
Media (Solutions-Oriented Media)
Freethink is a media company focused on building a better world. As opposed to most media fueled by politics and negativity, Freethink focuses on solutions and the most ground breaking technology shaping our future.
Instant Teams
Remote Work Solutions (Employment for Military Spouses)
Instant Teams was founded by military spouses for military spouses. It makes the most of remote work capabilities and its vast military spouse network to enable military spouses to more easily find employment opportunities.
